The Founder’s Story

“She’s a multi-dimensional multi-hyphenate with big dreams and even bigger talent.”

Tyla Anne Harris was destined to be an entertainer. As an Atlanta native, the city shaped the artistry Tyla trained in: film and theatre acting, improvisational comedy, ballet, modern dance, majorette and hip hop dance, pole and piano. Her production company NeferTyla Productions, focuses on creating and facilitating art surrounding sociopolitical conversations & supporting artists developing their artistic direction. Her music is released under the artist name "Titer".

As a child performer, she starred in productions with The BlackTop Circus in Atlanta, Georgia whilst being a gifted student. She landed her first gig under Alexander White Agency doing Coca-Cola print ads and has been on screen since. Tyla has a knack for different talents; in high school, between acting, being president of a championship-winning policy debate team, being a leader in an all-all-girl volunteer group, being a majorette, being an active BETA club member, and interning with her local District Attorney's office, Tyla managed to be a AP and dual enrollment student: graduating Magna Cum Laude.

During her high school academic career, she appeared in multiple television series such as Six (2017), Tales (2019), Claws (2017); in commercials with multiple companies (Zaxby’s, Atlanta/FX/Sprite, etc); was invited to speak at the Savannah College of Arts & Design to graduate students, and she released a self-published poetry book. Tyla also taught film and television acting, script breakdowns, and improvisational comedy to entertainment professionals ranging 6 to 53 years old. Upon graduation, Tyla began filming For Life (2019) ABC.

Tyla continues to study different art elements in her flourishing acting career: dancing, rapping, writing, and painting. She actively works with the Saving Our Daughters Organization (co-founded by Keke Palmer), which works with girls from multicultural backgrounds through the arts to help them overcome obstacles, and often volunteers with various organizations in the Atlanta community. In addition to guest teaching with different studios, she remains close to the local Atlanta acting community through private audition and theater coaching.

With a Bachelors in Political Science (concentration in International Affairs), Tyla focuses her artistry on community-driven projects, producing, writing, and directing entertainment aimed at uplifting society while pushing the conversation on social boundaries and topics.
