About This Film

  • Palmer stands as

    • Creator & Writer

    • Director

    • Executive Producer

    of the Love Files.

  • I am making this film to call attention to the word love and how it is used in our day-to-day lives. I want people to watch this film and start a conversation with those close to them. “Are we truly living out the word love instead of just saying it?” This hyperfictional reality showcased in this short film will give us, as the viewers, laughs, evoke a feeling of nostalgia, and help spark revelation. The film will be a form of escapism that will give food for thought to the viewer and hopefully shift our thought process on the word love from a more surface level to a deeper understanding.

  • Today, relationships have been reduced to social media. Our standards of what love is have been substantially blurred. Our goal is to have a conversation that sparks or even inspires a new generation to truly seek out what love means to them. If we, as the next generation, do not raise the bar on the definition of love, then the next generation will not protect it.

This project is so ______

Inspiring. Beautiful. Refreshing. Lovely. Nice. Cooooooooooooool.

What’s the plan? How can I be apart?

We are so glad you asked…

The Grand Plan

  • Two young classmates with different beliefs about romance spend one night debating the true meaning of love, risking their vulnerabilities through explorations of seven different forms of love before their assignment is due.

  • Each love story will unfold in our characters' minds. Their thoughts and memories will be expressed through cinematic lighting and composition choices that resemble shows such as Euphoria and Moonlight. In addition, we will expand upon the nostalgic stories with vibrant colors that can only exist in a dream.

  • This film has a mid budget of $75,000, which will allow for the equipment, cast, and on-camera world-building needed to make this vision come to life. This also includes event marketing and immersive pop-up experiences for the film itself and film festival fees, so that our audience will know about the film’s release.

  • Social media teasers, pre-releases (scenes from the film with release date), press run on podcasts to announce the release date and the premise of the film, in-person premiere the day before distribution, original soundtrack from artists with built-in fanbases, and an original fashion collection in collaboration with a popular local fashion designer (who has an audience of over 125k followers).

  • Film festival runs from Cannes to Tribeca, ABFF, ATLFF, Bronzelens, and Martha’s Vineyard.

Digital release through Apple TV and or Tubi.

Love this idea, love the project, would love to be a sponsor… one question though. Why is the turn-around time so soon?

  • The need for fresh, new black stories with “sumn ta say”. : With stories on the rise having fresh perspectives of black voices such as 2 Chainz and Omar Epps short film “Red Clay” (ABFF) , there is an increasing demand of indie films and short-form content that is refreshing in its’ take. Need proof? Just take a look here at Politickin’ , a short film directed/produced by our own director Palmer Williams, written/produced by our very own producer Tyla Harris, and graphic designed by our other producer Marquise Jones… a short film that garnered over 400k views in less than four days, championed by different conglomerates within the film industry.

  • The Film Festival Run we’d love to submit to. With a story as fly and fresh as “The Love Files”, we would love to film and submit to notable film festivals such as ABFF, Cannes, Martha’s Vineyard, Sundance, and SxSW. We are confident that we will place in multiple film festivals, and we have a wonderful team of young creatives who have already previously been honored and presented at different festivals.

  • The Love Trend is extremely popular right now! With many industry heads planning to film romance comedies and romantic films within the new year, we would love to secure our spot with Palmer’s creation that has been brewing for quite a while.

Trust us, there’s no rushing the process of love, and we are experts at making dreams of all sizes comes to fruition.

Join us in solidifying a fresh stance on love in life.
