PABTPS Moodboard/Plan — NeferTyla Productions

PABTPS is going to be a visual EP rollout with 9/10 songs.

The songs are mostly house mixed with a little bit of jazz rap. I love God, so I talk about Jesus alot. This EP is a conceptual version of my testimony before and coming to Christ.

So, the cover art is funkyyyyyy, thing bright colors & pop art vibes.

What does PABTPS mean?

Playing Around Before The Party Starts is:

A Childish Gambino Song - DG was a huge and heavy influence on me considering rap and the different types of concepts available for artists. “Because the Internet” was the first album from an artist that I listened to in full and kept coming back to. The title is partly an homage to how I started rapping.
A metaphor to life on earth as a Christian - This EP is my testament to how God has shaped my values, morals, and ideas around life, love, anger, marriage, and more. The “Party” is the wedding celebration discussed in Matthew 22. It is heaven and us becoming joined again with Jesus Christ after the second coming. The TRUE Party is being joined with God. So… I’m playing around. Although God and Jesus opens our eyes and hearts to Him on earth, we as Christians still remain to do kingdom work and use the gifts He has blessed up with. One of my gifts: music.

Songs & their themes/concepts

1) Mortal - Mortal is a very jazzy rap song which is my introduction to the world as Titer. Its straight rap. The MV is very ATL.

2) GimmeBass - a trad poppy house song about dancing when you wanna dance. MV is inspired by the dance scene in “Risky Business”.

3) RahabRehab - a very very very rappity rap song about the emotions you go through while coming to Christ and deconstructing the beliefs the enemy tries to instill in you. Coming to Christ is often compared in parables by Jesus to traditional wedding celebrations; where we, as the church, are the bride. The MV plays on the idea of what runs through your head when walking down the aisle.

4) The Bait. - a song about defeating your ego. inspired by John Bevere’s “The Bait of Satan”, “The Bait.” discusses how offense and anger can harden our hearts if we let it, but we shouldn’t.

5) The Boogie. - A fun dance song! “I wanna get my best dressed on tonight, i don’t want no fuss, don’t want no fight, no, I’m tryna get down, get with it or get around, and put on my best smile!” self-explanatory, the MV is just different people in their boogies

6) The Name. - A praise & worship song listing off the names of our King. The MV is going to be animated lyric video that is somewhat 2000s apply commercial styled.

7) Covenant - a song about the shift in ideals when you settle in Christ. From huge dreams and goals of attaining things and people to being settled in trusting in His plan. The MV with have a ballet dancer and be under a simple studio light.

8) Leave It All Behind - favvvvvvv. A cute lil’ soft house song about letting go of your past and living in the moment. This will feature the same girls from the GimmeBass vid. We will all be doing dancey dances.

9) Blessed - a song talking about how amazing our God is. The blessed MV will be fully animated into a pixelated video game world.

2) GimmeBass - “Risky Business” Inspired MV

This video is inspired by the infamous Risky Business Dance Scene (here).

It begins with me going to put on music in look one, i spin and turn into my look 2 with my two dancers on the side & we dance around the house. possibly look 3 is just cuts at the studio to camera or (MAYBE???) a classroom scene where everyone is dancing.

Me v Me. - I’m basically training and rapping to myself in the athletic looks for most of the videos, in second verse i plop down at a corner (lighting like its an actual fight) as if im in a round break. someone is putting me down and someone else gives me water, when I go to get up, the person who was talking to me goes over to *me again (in business suit, same as the red suit from the page intro), and I rap the second verse. video ends with me hanging up the gloves
